Being a relatively short story, it's forgive able that some of the plot development is lacking. I felt like the resolution of the serial killer's identity was rushed. This is a good book if you want a quick, hot read. Don't expect intricate relationships or a lot of build up of characters and scenes. I like Maya Banks writing but this felt like it was thrown together to meet a deadline or fill a hole while waiting for another book to be published.Product details

This book started off slow but it was a page turner afterwards. I loved the story of the hot police detectives 😊
Would loved to have more insight into their future and how they coped with it. Intriguing and exciting beginning. Kept me on the edge of my seat.
I have been following this series (and Maya Banks books in general) and have been very pleased with the consistent quality of the work. This one is definitely worth the read whether you are just trying her out or have been following her for years. Enjoy!
As a novella it was wonderful. It could have been a full novel, some scenes were really short, and knowing Ms. Banks writing, those scenes would have been AWESOME. Loved the story.
The characters in this story were interesting. I thought the plot was believable too, and her style of writing is enjoyable. The only thing I didn't like was the last portion of the story which I thought was drawn out. I enjoy reading Maya Banks and will do so again. I think I prefer her adventure series, KGI--hope I got the initials correct--to her erotica.
what a ride. from a night where she lost her job, to having a hot 3-some, to being number one suspect for a murder, to being taken by a serial killer. how much drama can you stand? the love love of her men is heartwarming and endearing. love Maya Banks!!!!!
Pleasant enough. Not one of Ms Banks' best efforts, but she's such a strong writer that it's still better than most in the genre. Love the fact that she wastes no time getting explicitly physical. The serial killer plot line was thin and maybe unnecessary, but it added a bit of depth. I just didn't feel pulled into this story as I have with most of her other work.
